United Airlines Mileage Plus Award Fees will be updated on 15th June 2011. My miles were expiring on 31st March and thus I had made an award flight booking at the centre for a fee of 30 USD - for a Thai Airways Business Class Flight to ICN (Incheon, Seoul). Total miles used was 60000 miles. And total fees was approximately 65 USD. The earlier 30 USD for United Airlines, and the remainder was for Thai Airways presumably.
Even though fees are reduced by 5 USD for bookings after 15th June 2011, the amount of miles required for a Star Alliance Award ticket has increased to 17500 (Economy Class, Return) from the current 15000 miles. Sectors: South Asia to North Asia.
